PENTAQ
WARRANTY STATEMENT
Prior to leaving our
premises, your new PENTAQ PC is thoroughly tested and checked before being
carefully packed and shipped to you. As a guarantee against faulty parts and
workmanship, your PC is covered by a Limited One Year Hardware Parts and Labour
warranty. Should you require any assistance, please contact our Technical
Department between 9:00am and 5:30pm, Monday to Friday and have the following
details ready:
1) The "PT" and or original manufacturer’s
serial number on the back of the machine.
2) Your invoice number with date of purchaser.
WARNING: Do not remove any
of the serial numbers from any system component or attempt to remove the system
cover. Doing so will break the tamper seal on the screw and void system
warranty.
SOFTWARE AND
OTHER PERIPHERALS.
Before having your computer
serviced, please make sure that the problems you have are in no way related to
the software you are running or any computer viruses. Any Product returned
for service under warranty which is found to be faulty due to incorrect
software configuration, virus infection of data and/ or system files, or other
problems not related to the Hardware will attract our standard service charges.
All software which is purchased through PENTAQ is covered under the original
vendor’s warranty. Any problems should therefore be directed to the
manufacturer of that software.
Other computer peripherals such as printers,
monitors, etc, are also covered under this warranty and any faults should be
dealt with in the same manner.
N.B: Regular software backups and updates to Anti-virus software and any
installed software are the responsibility of the customer. In the event that a
Hard Disk fails, PENTAQ’s responsibility is limited to the replacement of the
drive ONLY, and excludes application or system software and data.
PENTAQ HARDWARE
PRODUCTS.
Please read carefully the
terms and conditions listed below and make sure you fully understand the terms
before requesting for warranty repairs.
PRECAUTIONS.
* Do not move the PC while
the power is on.
* Do not drop the PC or any of its components.
*Do not spill any liquids onto the PC or its components.
* Your PC contains components which are sensitive to
electrostatic, electromagnetic, magnetic and radioactive fields. Avoid placing
it near these types of fields.
*Disconnect the power to the
PC during severe electrical storms or in areas where you know power
surges/spikes occur unless you have an appropriate surge/spike protection
device on your power outlet.
* Do not touch the power input selector switch on the power supply. Doing so
will break the tamper seal, blow up your power supply and may damage your PC in
addition to voiding all warranty.
* DO NOT place the Equipment in Hazardous environments
Warranty Terms and Conditions
1. This is to certify that PENTAQ Technology Pty Limited
offers a Limited Retune to Base warranty for new equipment purchased for the
first 12 Months from date of invoice; during standard business hours.
2. New Components and
Accessories supplied by PENTAQ include a standard return to base limited
warranty of 12 months from date of invoice. In the event where a part may be
faulty due to a manufacturing defect, PENTAQ will repair or replace the part
subject to the OEM suppliers terms and conditions during the warranty period as
long as the Hardware product is returned to PENTAQ warehouse in Sydney. Freight
and insurance costs for shipping items to and from PENTAQ is the customers
responsibility.
3. On Site Service
requests are not included in our Standard Hardware Warranty, and is chargeable
at our Call out fees outlined below if requested
4. No system or component
damage claims will be recognized by PENTAQ once delivered to the customer unless
damage is reported on the same day as the goods are delivered. In this event,
it will be at the discretion of PENTAQ whether or not to replace the damaged
goods.
5. Any product under
warranty that is being returned for repair or replacement must be accompanied
with the original or copy of the PENTAQ invoice supplied when the product was
purchased. If there is no proof of purchase supplied, the repair or replacement
may be charged out to the customer.
6. Warranty requests or return of products due to user
error, non-hardware failure/fault, virus infection, and acts of god will be
rectified at the customers expense. Our fee or repair charge in this instance
will be as per our standard on-site or in-house charges shown below, the first
hour on site being minimum with balance in 30 minute blocks.
Note: User Error means - not following user instructions, incorrect software
installation, physical damage to goods, purposely tampering with goods, attempt
to repair products without permission from PENTAQ Technology.
7. Additional Charges:
Sydney Metro On Site call
out fee 1 Hour minimum plus Car park, Road Tolls will be invoiced separately. On
Site charges for Customers outside Sydney Metro quoted separately.
8. Standard Business
Hours: 9am – 5:30 pm (AEST) Monday
to Friday; excluding public holidays.
9. Warranty becomes
void until all accounts and invoices
are fully paid. PENTAQ reserves the right to withhold goods and/or services in
lieu of any unpaid accounts.
10. PENTAQ does accept any liability for loss of any data or
application installed on the Hardware. It is the sole responsibility of the
user to maintain complete backup of all data or application installed in the
PC.
11. Goods left uncollected for more than 30 days or one calendar
month from date after customer has been notified to collect their equipment
from PENTAQ, may be charged a storage fee and disposed off to recover any outstanding
charges.
